I thought I had this all figured out when I noticed I was working with an old version of the ant script for
building the update site.  The current version, just like the website, talks about how the features are
built using maven during the regular distribution build.  However, I can find no trace of that.  The feature
projects have no POMs, and when I build a distribution from trunk, no feature jars are generated.  What the
build script describes as the "old" way however still works.  So I'll add a comment to the build file
describing my findings.

The updated comments came in with https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-1123.  Marshall, if you
could take a look and let me know what the status of the "old" and "new" style of building the update site is,
that would be great.
