orphantest.pl

Michael, thanks for your work on "orphantest.pl". Is there a version
you're comfortable committing for archival in 2.0, in audacity-src/tests?

Thanks for bringing this up, I also wanted to discuss this.

I could commit it, but it would need me to commit the multiproject
scripting commands as well, which means breaking feature freeze.
I think this is well enough tested an modular to not cause issues, but
there is some small risk. I think it's only worth taking that risk if
some large amount of 2.0 users would benefit from the multiproject
stuff. I don't feel strongly one way or the other but if I had to
make a decision now it would be to respect the freeze wait till after
2.0 to commit.

If anyone wants to argue a case for committing multiproject scripting,
please do now.

Michael

Ahh, yes, I'd forgotten about the required changes to Audacity code. I
agree with you, it should be done post-2.0. Thanks!
