may not be the cause, but beware the 2.6.x kernels; many issues. tho i havn't 
tried the .3 version yet.the 3 previous kernels wouldn't work for me.

2.6.25.4-rt5 works flawlessly otoh and has all the 'newness' one can need atm

Ah, that's interesting. I'll try downgrading to a 2.6.25 when I next get

Well, as a follow up my wife finally had time to test today and the
thing still constantly crashes under 2.6.25. I'm trying irqbalance next
but the whole thing is basically unusable.
