Recursive file finder not finding

HI,
	It seems to find some files but not all. I reset the permissions  in 
the music directory:
chown www.www -R

It did not see to change things. I cleared all the musice data and did 
the import again. This time I got more, but not all files. Any ideas 
where to start looking?
