In conjunction with the 10th Latin American and Caribbean Conference for Engineering and Technology

July 23-27, 2012, Panama City, Panama

The development of software has become an important business in several countries in Latin America.

Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico, among others, have significant software development efforts. A
cornerstone for any good software development is the use of a systematic and scientific approach which
allows developing correct, secure, and reliable software. An important approach to produce high quality
software is the use of patterns.

We solicit papers in all aspects of software architecture. They will be evaluated in the usual way using
three reviewers. We also have a parallel event to review patterns in the style of PLoP conferences where
a shepherd is assigned to your paper. We call this a MiniPLoP*. For the MiniPLoP we look for patterns
that are relevant to architectural aspects.

We will have a BootCamp to teach how to build patterns, led by Joe Yoder.

Topics include:
Architecture modeling
Incorporation of NFRs in architectures
Architectural decisions
Architectural frameworks and methodologies
Experience with methodologies to build architectures
Process aspects
