[Dbworld] Experienced researcher position in Geoinformatics (post-doc, 12-18 months) - Montpellier France
An Experienced Researcher position (e.g. post-doc, 12-18 months), funded by the Numev Labex (http://www2.lirmm.fr/numev/), is available in Montpellier (France) at the LIRMM laboratory (Laboratory of computer sciences, robotic, micro-electronic of Montpellier, University of Montpellier 2/CNRS, http://www.lirmm.fr/) and the TETIS Laboratory (Earth Observation and Geoinformation for Environment and Land Management Research Unit, http://tetis.teledetection.fr/index.php/fr/). Topic: The proposed topic is part of a larger project called SENTERRITOIRE (http://www.msh- m.fr/programmes-2012/senterritoire/, in French). The overall aim of this project is to define a decision-making environment based on an automatic analysis of texts related to land planning. 5 researchers have been working on this topic since January 2012. We are now looking for a researcher who will work together with this team. The originality of this post-doc is to be part of a multidisciplinary approach based on a semi-automatic geographic information extraction method. The main objectif is to provide geographers and environmentalists with a knowledge discovery framework. Starting date: October 2012 (some flexibility is possible, but at the latest January 2013).
