Dynamically loaded libraries

I'm working with a group of developers who don't believe that anybody would
develop a product (except in Java) that didn't hard-link against the
database
client library.  Dynamic linking is too dangerous!  You have to define
stable
interfaces!

My understanding is that many Firebird applications do use dynamically
loaded libraries, but would like some specific examples.  Please e-mail
me directly.

   I have no choice but use the dynamic linking in IBPhoenix replicator. No other way to 
continue work if one of supported DBMSs' client is not installed, you know...
