what operating system are you using? What is the JDBC connect string you use in SQuirreL? I haven't used TimesTen yet, but I remember settting up ODBC connections for " normal" Oracle databases needed some entries in the windows registry, perhaps that is the case for the TimesTen connections as well.

According to TimesTen documentation the port should be specified with the "TCP_Port" attribute:
