mime info

I try to figure out the mime-info data used by Rox.
I found a spec at
http://www.freedesktop.org/standards/shared-mime-info.html
but the file /usr/share/mime/magic seems to have an other (more human
readable) format then the one described in teh spec. Can someone tell me
which on is the right format ? And if it's the human readable one, is
there  a spec ?

ROX-Filer doesn't match on file contents, so neither will help you.
For matching on names, see MIME-Editor:
