PuTTY and Hercules

Hello!
When was 3.07 released? And was the last snapshot that Ivan created
going to contain any fixes that would enable Putty to work versus
using on Windows the regular Telnet client?

Or are these fixes only available in the code now residing in the Git
based repository?

I know from previous discussions that there are message generation
features that are not available in 3.07, but that's not what I am
concerned with.

No. The actual cause was only very recently identified by Doug in the
Hercules "H390-VM" forum's "additional 3215s in sixpack" thread:

Not that I'm aware of, no. No one has had any time yet to work on it.

I know that. You want PuTTY to work. So do others. But you'll have to wait
until one of us has time to make whatever changes are needed to correct the
problem without ALSO breaking something else (which from what Doug describes
in his post might not be so easy to do).

Otherwise fix it yourself or pay someone else to fix it for you.

My per-hour rates are open to negotiation. ;-)

Hello!
I agree. However I also tried a snapshot (one of the last ones Ivan
ran out.) and naturally things exploded when I had the system try to
bring everything up as regards the usual methods for VM (and the
original VM/370 package.)

Now as to the additional 3215s in the system thread on the H390-VM
list, yes I did see that.

I can wait. It's not a necessary function.
