Benchmark

I need some help which
I would be really grateful if any could help me
with. 
I'm using gfs 5.0.1, I want someone to advice me a good benchmark(bonnie++ ???) 
to test the file system.
It's need any special tuning before run the benchmark to lead a good results?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
