Newbie has a problem running owserver

I am trying to run owfs-2.8p12 on openSUSE 11.1

Command entered:
 /opt/owfs/bin/owserver -d /dev/ttyS0 -p localhost:7777 --debug

Last few debug lines:
  DEBUG: ow_tcp_read.c:tcp_read(114) read: 1 - 0 = 1
DEBUG: ow_tcp_read.c:tcp_read(64) attempt 1 bytes Time: 5.000000 seconds
  DEBUG: ow_tcp_read.c:tcp_read(114) read: 1 - 0 = 1
*** WARNING *** The program 'owserver' uses the Apple Bonjour compatibility layer of Avahi.
*** WARNING *** Please fix your application to use the native API of Avahi!
*** WARNING *** For more information see <http://0pointer.de/avahi-compat?s=libdns_sd&e=owserver>
Segmentation fault

I would appreciate suggestions.
Thanks,
Peter

Fwd: Newbie has a problem running owserver

add --nozero

That version of owserver is older and had trouble with load dynamically the avahi libraries.
