features and trends...

Hi,
I realise that there is a very large list of feature requests but I
would like to ask a question about one specific:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319177

I guessed that nobody is working on it by looking at comments on this
request and the dates (2005!), but this would be a really nice
feature.

I also have some more general questions. I'm looking to start
cataloguing my large collection of photos and would like to use a tool
that is upto date and actively developed. F-spot is one of the tools
I'm considering.

How actively is f-spot still being developed? What are the new
features that have been implemented in last 12 months?

What are the user trends are more users coming and starting using
F-spot or old users leaving F-spot and using something else (what?) ?

Cheers,
Valent.
