So instead of trying to push for earlier in the year we're delaying it
even further? How will this relate to 'high season'?

Note that early September is also the time when GNOME is usually
released (this GNOME release is later than usual)

Sorry, that was unclear. The meeting under consideration in Sept. was
a planning meeting for GUADEC '09 held this September '08, not GUADEC
'09 itself.

Yup! Just no news that we needed to deal with at the board level in
that meeting- you seem to have things mostly under your control;

I've added the Speck Hackfest to the GNOME community calendar:

Adding gugmasters-list as a CC just to remind people that the calendar
exists, and that I'll be glad to add your events, or give you read-write
access so that you can add your own.

Perhaps we could create an RSS stream from the calendar showing upcoming
events? Right now I have a decent list of stuff for October, but nothing
for after FOSDEM.
