using GARNOME to get a cleanly rebuilt modern GNOME library stack

HI,

I don't want to replace my desktop, but I would like to make clean rebuilds of glib gtk pango etc. etc.
all the way up the library stack.  I'm looking at an assertion violation in inkscape that I think may
be due to something weird in my crazy stack of gnome libs.  Is garnome a good way to go for this?

Thanks,
Britton

No. Install Debian in a chroot. Run away!

If you have to, garnome might work for you, but it always takes me 3
weeks or so to get a working stack.

Don't get me wrong. I think garnome is great. It's just a last resort
sort of great.

I maintain a more or less current version of garnome, not all of which
works, but don't have the time to maintain it publicly. Let me know
and I'll send you a tar file.
