gnome workspace switcher has different behavior with compiz

With compiz disabled the workspace switcher has a config option "Show
workspace names in switcher". However after enabling compiz this option
is gone.

Is there a way to get this behaviour back with workspace switcher even
though compiz is enabled? I could not find such an option.
