FreeBSD 7.1 and Gnome 2.22.3

I have installed Gnome 2.22.3 on FreeBSD 7.1 (i386).

I start it after logging on with command "startx" and I have to wait about 2-3 minutes before I can see my
desktop. This time in console I can see these messages (with the help of ctrl-Alt-F1)

gnome-keyring-daemon [12]: Scheduling hal init retry
gnome-keyring-daemon [12]: error connecting to D-BUS system bus: Failed to connect to socket
/var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory

So, every time I have to wait 2-3 minutes, before my Gnome get alive. What's the trouble?
How can I solve this trouble?

P.S. I don't need hal ...

Hi,

I don't think its a hal issue, have you add your hostname to
your /etc/hosts ?? I know xorg is longer to launch if hostname can't be
resolved.

Regards.

Re[2]: FreeBSD 7.1 and Gnome 2.22.3

No, /etc/hosts is OK. The command "PING my_computer_name" executes very fast, no delay
