gnome without unuseful app

Hello!

I am FreeBSD 7.2 user. Can I install x11/gnome2 port without epiphany, evolution (I prefer Firefox and
mutt). Is it possible?

Yes, but you would need to disable a few option when building
gnome-panel, and seahorse, afaik.

Michael,

You might want to look at the FreeBSD gnome2-lite port
(x11/gnome2-lite). I don't know offhand what is left out from the full
gnome2 port but it might be suitable or at least give you some clues
about how to get what you want. Alternatively just install the Gnome
components that you do want rather than one of the Gnome meta-ports.

You might be better off getting further support on one of the freebsd
mailing lists: freebsd-questions, freebsd-gnome, etc. See the FreeBSD
website "support" link to get the full list.

Re: Re[2]: gnome without unuseful app

Thanks you!

I have to wait about 26 hours on my PC (Core2Duo 1,86Ghz, 1Gb memory, 256 kbps Internet) before make command
had ended operations...
I don't know why make command needed downloading and installing Apache2.2 with Gnome2.26. It seems to me
that gnome2-lite is the only way to do cutting such a big package. It is a pitty, but version of Gnome in
x11/gnom2-lite is 2.24.3
