fixed compilation warnings

Please, windows people, test to see if you can build and run the tests
in libpano.

I have fixed the compilation warnings and simplified the windows
#ifdefs. If some data types are not available under windows, then please
add them to panotypes.h (or pt_stdint.h--I guess it would make more
sense to merge them).

I have also fixed a problem with the cmake file in the tests directory
that created some problems (such as disappearing files in the test
directories under linux). 

Jim, you might have to merge to your branch, because I made a lot of
changes in many different files.
