adding test cases for psd code

Hi Jim,

One of the problems of adding test cases for the PSD code is that we
don't have tools to compare PSD files. We can either build one, or
remove any field that changes over time (for example date/time when the
file is created). 

the easiest would be to start by making sure we can compare the files
byte-by-byte, and then write a tool to compare them as PSDs.

What do you think?
