Community Awards self-submission
Hello, I'm Mikhail Ramalho, I want to nominate myself for Maemo Community Award and I'm applying for a N9.
Well, my main contribution for the Maemo Community is TweeGo [1], a Qt C++ twitter client for N900. It was also one of the winners of the Maemo Code competition back in 2010 [2]. A great contribution for the community is that TweeGo has some dependencies that helped other applications:
- Libqca2-plugin-ossl [3]: used for oauth's authentication. This lib is now dependency for MeePassword [4] (an app to store passwords) and QutIM [5] (instant messenger);
- Libqoauth [6]: a Qt implementation of oauth scheme (it all uses libqca2-plugin-ossl), This lib is now dependency for Get me Wheels [7] (a car2go [8] client)
I also helped on another oauth lib development (proper packaging for Maemo) called libkqoauth. [9]
Thank you,
Mikhail Ramalho.
PS: Just to be clear, I'm not saying that I developed MeePassword, QutIM or Get Me Wheels, I packaged the libs that are dependencies for them. Indirectly I made their job easier :)
