I have done it.
The only thing is that it's MeeGo 1.1.

1.2 is no good as it's build with hardfp which is incompatible with
softfp GLES libraries Freescale released.

Re: imx51 bbg board-meego porting

Well done mate.

Add that to the list of boards that need hardfp.

I hope we are reaching a tipping point with this now as we have people
with boards that need it (panda, tegra2, i.mx) and distributions
building for hardfp (MeeGo, debian, arch, fedora)

Fingers crossed.

You need to be more specific as I don't know anything about this list. ;-)

Oh. I would never looked at that page, as IVI is out of my interests.

But the list mentions hardfp drivers for the i.MX53 board.
Are these available for download?
It should work with i.MX51 as the drivers are generic for all i.MX5x
boards.

I'm not sure if that is aa correct entry.

Re: imx51 bbg board-meego porting

Hi,

I am so glad to hear that you have done this already.
Where can I find the manual to built Meego on imx51 bbg board.
Or can you send me the .ks file?

Actually, I have built a Meego 1.1.99 tablet UX on i.mx51 board.
But after I start uxlaunch, nothing is appeared on screen.
And I checked the Xorg and mcompositor is working!
Attacned is my .xsession-errors file and the process list showed
by ps -A command.

Thank You very much!
Best regards
Gao Jianzhong

1.1.99 is built with hardfp ABI (armv7hl). This won't work with OpenGL
ES drivers provided by Freescale.

Latest MeeGo providing softfp builds (armv7l) is 1.1.90.

7l/packages/
Is that OK?
If you can send me an useful .ks file, it will help me very much.

At the first look at the repo, it should work.
There are some incomplete builds in repo, so watch out though.

OK. Look at the other mail. :)

Re: imx51 bbg board-meego porting

Hi,

I use the repos in
http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/builds/1.1.90/1.1.90.8.20110322.2/repos/oss/armv
7l/packages/

And now the handset ux is appeared but touch screen speed is very very slow.
What is the reason of this and what I should do?

Thank you
Gao Jianzhong
