MeeGo requires 3D graphics library for drawing the User Interface.
This library implements OpenGL ES API.
This library needs to be hardware accelerated in order to work
reasonably fast. Software implementations are usually to slow to give
pleasant user experience.

You cannot use the library Android uses, as Android's libraries are
linked against libc implementation (Bionic) that is incompatible with
libc implementation MeeGo uses (glibc).

Hope it makes it more clear now.
