In case you are interested, I am actively working on making jz4730 devices working on current kernels. http://www.linux-mips.org/archives/linux-mips/2010-02/msg00243.html Further to that post, I have made some progress towards minimising the differences between my code and Lars-Peter Clausen's jz4740 code.
