most up-to-date/maintained USB impl for Java?


Hi there.  I've noticed that there seem to be a lot of "USB for
Java" projects out there, most in varying states of abandon.  This one
seems to have an active mailing list, which is great, although the
webpage javax-usb.sourceforge.net has that "not edited since 1995"
look to it, which I think might scare people away.

Anyways, is this sourceforge project the "most maintained"
implementation of javax.usb?  Also, what is the current status (for
this project or any other) of support on Windows and Mac OS X?  I
might be interested in helping implement/finish the latter.

I was actually going for '70s green-only CRT... ;)

See the FAQ (no implementation for MAX OS X, feel free to create one 
yourself... :)

	For what it's worth, I did set-up a SourceForge project to start  
developing an OS X version of javax.usb, at:

		http://sourceforge.net/projects/javaxusbosx

	Unfortunately, between work and working on my Masters degree (not to  
mention the half dozen other OSS projects I maintain and/or  
contribute to...), I haven't had time to spend on this, other than to  
do some preliminary work on actually using OS X's IOKit to learn how  
to interface with it.

	If someone is interested in picking up the ball and running with it,  
I'm happy to provide whatever assistance I can.
