After upgrading to KDE4.8 today, I noticed that the Lightning wallpaper was
removed from the weather wallpaper artwork.  (See: 
http://websvn.kde.org/?view=revision&revision=1269580)  This is frustrating,
since I use that wallpaper heavily as my desktop and console backgrounds.

Can this artwork be restored?  Or is there some particular reason why it had to
be deleted?

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Install kde artwork weather wallpapers package v4.8.0.

It was deleted because Davide Bettio maintains the wallpapers and decided to
remove it to make room for new wallpapers probably.

David, I already added Davide in the CC in the hope he would answer you.

Davide, no chance to get it back? After all if David cares so much for it, it
could be added back.

Thanks for the response Anne-Marie.

If there's no particular reason, other than personal preference, then I would
hope it could be restored.  I rely heavily on it, and use it as the background
for my desktop and consoles (see screenshot of my desktop at:
http://www.darose.net/DaroseDesktop2011-09.png), and I'd really like to
continue to use it for that.

The wallpaper is still available via Get Hot New Stuff, open Desktop Settings |
Get New Wallpapers, type lightning in the search box, et voila. :)

It was removed because it was a low quality photo (low resolution and high
noise).
We request all the wallpapers to be at least 1920x1200 to be included in our
wallpaper set.
