And I appreciate that fact very much.
Akregator on the other hand, while having a similar interface, always runs 
into focus issues, so a couple of things doesn't work when you don't click 
into the message viewer pane.

Oh right, I should open a bug for that.

Anyways, thanks for making KMail so robust with regard to these issues.

Exactly. Almost focus-follows-mind because I know beforehand which part of the 
UI is going to react.

Exaclty. In my case usually Page up and Page down, which move the selection on 
the feed tree view instead of in the posting.
