zpush sync problems, huge cache file

Hi, a user keeps having trouble syncing his mobile calendar
(it's still the same situation described at
https://issues.kolab.org/show_bug.cgi?id=451 )

Besides the usual error messages in /kolab/var/z-push/log/access.log
I now get:

  ERROR: /kolab/var/z-push/kolabindex/XYZ
IMAP can't add mail : Zero-length message literal
  PDA Folder : 9db49a59249eefb6f65231c5b6e215d362e8c358 object uid :

(repeated many times).

Also the user's cache file /kolab/var/z-push/kolabindex/XYZ has grown to 380Mb:
maybe this is too big to handle and causes the sync process to fail?
Should I delete the cache file to restart the sync process anew? Is it safe? Or
this might cause data loss on the server or on the mobile phone?

Also (but this might not be related), we now have a lot (500.000) files into
/kolab/var/kolab/www/z-push/state
Maybe some automatic clean-up job should be set up?

RE: zpush sync problems, huge cache file

Hello
yes big how many contacts and events have the user ?
it is safe to remove the cache. The cache is only to speed up the Imap search. Zpush will create and populate it automatically

Regards
