Copy GPS almanac to the memory Card - during Picture download

Hello,

I've a Sony SLT Alpha 77VQ with integrated GPS. To have a better performance, Sony generates a almanac data
file for 6 Weeks - which can be used. So I search a way, to copy automatic the almanac data file from:
http://control.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/GPS/assistme.dat
to the Photo or Memory-card:
<PhotoDirectory>/Private/SONY/GPS

This can be realized with a small script - which should be call, during a Picture download (open import
dialog), which give me the <PhotoDirectory> as parameter. Have someone a Idea, if a (undocumented)
function exists in the DigiKam Config Files or with a dbus script?

Best Regards
Ulf

PS: I will offer this script and the solution - if someone is interested (as GPL like DigiKam itself)

Re: Copy GPS almanac to the memory Card - during Picture download

with next digiKam 2.8.0, you will be able to run a script during
camera download !

Look this entry :

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=244713

2.8.0 is planed in August. You must be patient, or compile yourself
current implementation from git/master repository...

But are you interested about this script?
So is planed, to support this Functionality (GPS - Almanac File storage on the
Camera) generally for different Cameras?
