Fwd: Frozen master

Hi dudes,

Please keep me in the replies, I'm not on this list.

First, a general question:

A couple of us from plasma/kwin team are wondering when the KDE/4.8
branch is planned to be introduced so that we can start merging new
stuff into to master?

The second, personal inquiry regarding libkactivities:

If it is not going to be in the following few days, may I create a
KDE/4.8 tag in libkactivities from the current master, to be used for
the release, and consider the master to be unfrozen?

I plan to do that along with the RC1 tag which is planned for tomorrow.

I would rather prefer if that is not the case, but I'll look out and try to 
deal with that situation somehow.
