Hi All,

I am surveying the features of Fortress with other HPCS languages as part of my research work. I got unclear with the idea of Regions as I thought it would be an abstraction to represent the place that the computation occur, but the Fortress language specification mentions a different idea than that.

So I would appreciate if some clarification of this could be provided or some pointers to a good explanation.
