Philippine Groovy/Grails Users Group

Hi everyone,

Just to share. I created a local Groovy/Grails mailing list for Filipinos a while back. The group grew to about 30 listers in a few days. And we just had our first meet up last Monday, July 14. The meeting included two sessions, an Introduction to Groovy, and a Grails + Acegi walkthrough. The attendees composed mostly of Java developers who are interested in both Groovy and Grails. All in all, it was a lively discussion (even went so far as discussing lambda functions during the closures talk). Hopefully we would be able to make this group bigger and more active in the Groovy and Grails communities as a whole.

Here's the group picture of the attendees: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10991022 <at> N04/2670097417/in/set-72157606200138492/

Regards from the Philippines!
mike

[groovy-user] Re: [grails-user] Philippine Groovy/Grails Users Group

By the way, don't forget to enlist your user group on the relevant
pages on the Groovy and Grails wikis:

http://groovy.codehaus.org/User+Groups
http://grails.org/User+Groups

If other user groups aren't listed there, please make sure to add your
group in those pages.
