Haskell Programmers for FPGA Systems 

Parallel Scientific, Inc. is a Boulder, Colorado based company working on a variety of aspects of parallel programming.  We seek experienced Haskell programmers to join the team building a Haskell based DSL to compile to FPGA hardware language.  

Parallel Scientific was founded by Dr Peter Braam in 2010. Peter formerly taught mathematics and computer science at Oxford and Carnegie Mellon. Then he contributed file systems to Linux and invented Lustre (which provides storage to 9 of the top 10 systems in the world). He ran several successful startups, and Parallel Scientific is run by an very experienced management team and board.

Successful candidates will work in a modern virtual environment in their homes and collaborate with a distributed team.  Some travel may be required.  English language skills are necessary.

We are looking for two candidates in total. One candidate must be a United States citizen, but the other can reside in Europe, Ukraine or Russia.

Required Skills:
- Strong background in computer science or mathematics.
- Experience with Haskell, or other functional languages (e.g. Erlang - with a willingness and ability to learn Haskell quickly)
    - Excellent communication skills 
    - Prepared to give it all for an excellent opportunity

Desired skills:
- Experience with FPGA hardware and programming
