Squeak website from today on Aida/Scribo

Dear webteamers,

Today me and Ken Causey switched Squeak website to the Scribo based one:

	http://www.squeak.org

Old site is still accessible at http://old.squeak.org/ .

So far so good and I hope everything will work well. There is still a
menu to be finished (it is expanded, I need to make it collapsible).

Please look at the site and if you find anything to be corrected,
report. Let we polish the new site as soon as possible.

Best regards
Janko

Hello Janko.

I wish to translate a site into Russian. How I can receive an account?

Sounds like spam -- I don't think he needs an account to do this.

Sorry Vasja -- no offense meant. We have been plagued in the past
with spam. I should have checked to see that you are on the mailing
list.

Re: Squeak website from today on Aida/Scribo

Hi Jason,

Not spam, Vasja's proposal for translation in Russian is based on recent
new Aida/Scribo feature to have a multilingual site, see demo here:
http://demo.bioskop.fr. You'll come to English page but Russian would
automatically come to Russian one. This is a main idea behind Scribo's
multilingual support

If you remember, we talked about that idea a while ago too, to have a
language subcommunities, who will then take care about content in there
respective languages. Russian is one of the first, besides Vasja also
Igor Stasenko offers help. I suppose Spanish and French communities will
follow as well.

Hi Vasja,

Thanks for your offer, just wait a bit please, we need to agree and add
multilingual feature to Squeak website first. Also, coordinate with Igor
Stasenko, he also had one guy who is willing to help on Russian subsite.
Remember also, that this is a long term job, after translation the site
must also be maintained!
