Are you sure you haven't told your platform to bind the "switch keyboard
mapping" command to a particular keyboard or mouse shortcut that you are
inadvertantly using?

It works fine most of the time. The problem only occurs after I have used my tool a for many, many hours - which
involves opening and closing the Scintilla component 100's of times.
