String error

Hi all!
I have a problem again. I read data from a socket, then I parse it, and update the GUI. But some special characters disappears - not just that character, the whole message. I saw on the archieved list, that someone had the same problem, but there somebody suggested to modify the source of the wxLUA. Is there any other way to fix this bug, without modifying the source code?
Thanks.

I will try to find some time to compile some new binaries later this
week and upload them.
