I've been playing with Evernote which has both an iPhone and desktop
application. Once you've registered at Evernote.com, you'll be able to
sync your notes over the internet. You can build all manner of notes,
including photo notes on your iPhone. You can attach even PDFs to your
notes (after installation, the "Save PDF..." in your OS X print dialog
will include a "Save PDF to Evernote" option) which will conveniently
show up on your iPhone app. The one drawback that I've encountered
involves the internet sync component. If you're on a call and away
from WiFi, you will not be able to access your notes. Not a deal
breaker yet, but a major inconvenience.
