Freaking Suspicious Headers

OK, I am getting really tired of every message with 'iphone' in the
subject getting tarpitted to admin hell. It's making me seriously
consider unsubbing from the newsgroup, especially when I'm replying to
a post on the list.

What about joining OG's iPhone mailing list? I'm asking because I'm
looking around for a dedicated iPhone list that has a lot of traffic,
decent quality of helpful responses, and no list Nazis.

we're on that list

but, it's sometimes appropriate to post iPhone stuff to the main talk-
list

It's a pretty quiet list and it is much more, to my mind, for specific
iPhone issues. Syncing AB to the iPhone is just as much an OS X issue
as it is an iPhone issue.

When I am replying to a post about Notes in mail and how they are not
supported to the iPhone I don't want some silly grep pattern deciding
I posted to the 'wrong' list.

Sorry, I disagree with both of those examples. Neither are issues that
anybody without an iPhone would be able to help you with. They're
exactly what should be on an iPhone specific list.

... and the reason it's a quiet list, is because nobody is using it.
Use it and it won't be quiet.

The reason the automatic filter is there is to try to get you to use
the right list, and get out of the hair of people who don't own or
care about the iPhone*. It makes it easier to live in harmony.

i don't own an iPhone (though my partner has a Touch), but it's
useful to me to see iPhone/Mac OS X issues here so that i can
develop a sense of how it integrates with and expands the Mac OS
X experience; for better or worse, iPhone is changing Mac OS X
both directly and indirectly

The syncing issues are not iPhone specific.

I don't have an iPhone. Seems kinda silly to subscribe to a list for
a device I don't own. However, it is a device that is running OS X,
and this Mac OS X talk...

You can try PowerList:

   <http://www.listmoms.net/lists/powerlist/>

It is for all forms of mobile computing, so iPhone questions are
quite welcome there.

I run an iPhone list[1] on http://www.tit-wank.com (home of
OSX-Nutters) but it gets very little traffic. I suspect people with
iPhones don't have enough issues to discuss or if they do, they phone
one of their friends and ask them. Having too much fun in the real
world, I suspect.

I suspect I would be getting a visit from our InfoSec group if the

Yes, I suspect you will. They'll at least come to your desk, point and laugh.

This is one of the reasons I bought the domain.
