tethered mode

I finally had an opportunity to try tethered mode to see if it worked  
any better for maintaining a connection on my Powerbook.

It did no better than using the regular WirelessModem app.

Others may have better luck... I know several folks who don't have  
problems at all.  Wish we could figure out why...
