Re: Novell is Dead!

Jamie,
FYI, there is a free online course, Upgrading from Netware to OES Linux. Don't have the link handy now, but
should be under the on-demand training section of the Novell site.

There are some other exciting things on the horizon as well, with universal file access (codenamed:
'Project Neutron') and OES11 (running on SLES11) out soon too.

I keep hearing that ZCM is the best end user management app out there, regardless of edir/AD/ldap backend ..
we're also waiting for ZCM11.1 to upgrade ..

Hi Wayne/Michael,

Thanks for posting that link Michael, I ended up not being able to attend
that meeting (damn loved their last breakfast too).

Wayne you have brought up some valid points - I`m one of two people
remaining in EQ running a novell product across its clunky MOE, feeling
quite lonely, I admit though I have been successful in getting another high
school and primary to go the ZCM path over Altiris (Close to biting the
bullet and doing a display of ZCM at one of our OC days(Orange Card holder)
- yes we need a license to run #$ <at> # ms stuff in EQ schools) . Lucky enough
