Marie Curie research fellowship in semantic technologies for cloud platform management (Postdoc/PhD)

Application deadline: *10 September 2012*

The South-East European Research Centre (http://www.seerc.org) is an overseas multidisciplinary
research institute of the University of Sheffield, based at the University's International Faculty in
Thessaloniki, Greece.

SEERC is looking to fill one open Marie Curie research fellowship in semantic technologies for cloud
platform management. The position can be offered to a researcher at either post-doctoral or doctoral
level. It is funded by the Marie Curie Initial Training Network RELATE, which focuses on engineering and
management of service-based cloud applications (http://www.relate-itn.eu).

The researcher to be appointed will join the Information & Knowledge Management group at SEERC
(http://www.seerc.org/ikm) and will work on developing methods and tools for improving the management
of cloud service delivery platforms through the application of Semantic Web technologies, Linked Data
and ontology-based reasoning. The group is already active in a number of closely related topics, such as
ontology-driven governance, quality control and self-management in cloud application platforms. One
research direction we would be keen to further explore through this fellowship is the application of
stream reasoning over Linked Data in cloud service brokerage scenarios.
