Latest version venkman checked in in CVS ?

Hi,

I noticed that the latest available xpi (venkman-0.9.85.xpi) does not
contain the same code as checked in the source tree.
I tried to build a new version for the 1.1 alpha release, but had to
modify the xpi package iso build it from code.

What is the status of venkman. Is it maintained ? will there be a
version for 1.1 ?

Regards,

Kees

Depends what you define as 'maintained'. I did a lot of the work for
making 0.9.85 working in Firefox and Mozilla 1.7, but the patch for the
changes is sitting in Bugzilla waiting for code review.

I, personally, just don't have the time to fight the "Mozilla Platform"
on Venkman's behalf these days, so you are probably out of luck for a
version that works with Firefox 1.5 (they renamed it from 1.1). Until a
few days ago, it would probably work fine (after changing install.rdf to
let it install at all), but I suspect it may be seriously broken by today.

On the other hand, there are some other people involved, so it may yet
get the code reviewed and whatever hacks are needed for FF 1.5 added.

As people keep telling me, "if you want it fixed, do it yourself". That
sucks, though. :)

James,

Do you know if there is a query or list of bugs around that could get
things working at least with 1.7, or could you put one together?

Thanks

Re: Latest version venkman checked in in CVS ?

I think I meant code changes checked in so the version of venkman is up
to date with the rest of the code.

I did change the rdf file and the other changes suggested in this forum
and it works with 1.5 daily build. So far so good.

Who is the person that does the code review ?

Thanks
