Re: Problems building on Tiger...

Sorry, I didn't read your first mail carefully.
You should take "Phase 1a: SDK-less builds on 10.4, config/build portion" and "Phase 1b: SDK-less builds on 10.4, Mac-specific implementation portion" first.
Then do /sw/bin/autoconf.
These 2 patches are most important, and perhaps you'll need some other patches in that bug.

Regards,

Ginn

Yes, I am aware of that bug page. I have already set my gcc to 3.3, ran /sw/bin/autoconf in to directories (/mozilla and /mozilla/nsprpub) . . .  and everything else recommended at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292530

I'm currently trying to build the CVS. I hope that works.

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get Firefox to build on Tiger (10.4). I got patch #13 from the bug page (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292530); I patched it from a directory up (I have mozilla as a directory in my root, I patch from the root), and then ran the autoconf in /sw/bin in the directories /mozilla and /mozilla/nsprpub. My .mozconfig file looks like this:

. $topsrcdir/browser/config/mozconfig
mk_add_options MOZ_OBJDIR=/moz_out

I know the patch from the bug page is supposed to fix all the problems compiling in Tiger, but I still get the following error when I try to build with the command

sudo make -f client.mk build

I get it about 3 hours into the build before it barfs -- I'm running the make on a humble eMac:

/moz_out/config/nsinstall -L /moz_out/xpfe/bootstrap/appleevents -m 644 libappleevents_s.a ../../../dist/lib
NEXT_ROOT= /Developer/Tools/sdp -fa -o mozillaSuite.r /mozilla/xpfe/bootstrap/appleevents/mozilla.sdef
/bin/sh: line 1: /Developer/Tools/sdp: No such file or directory
make[3]: *** [mozillaSuite.rsrc] Error 127
make[2]: *** [tier_9] Error 2
make[1]: *** [default] Error 2
make: *** [build] Error 2

I know that the patch is supposed to address the sdp issue. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
