A little lost with regards to attachments

I have many files in MKV format that I did not attach cover art to.  It seems however that I can not use MKVpropedit to add attachments to existing files.  It would take some time to reMUX all these files just to add cover art.  Is it possible to add attachments (JPG cover art in particular) without reMUXing?

Could attaching files be added to MKVpropedit?

At the moment: no.

One of these days, sure. Don't ask me for when, though.

Kind regards,
