A bit of time on my hands - any requests?

Hey all,
If you have particular bugs you want squashed or other QA things done, over
the next few weeks I might have a bit more time on my hands while I'm out
job hunting.

Mostly going to churn through
http://pear.php.net/qa/packages_closed_reports_no_release.php and misc bugs
with patches; but if you have other specific things...

Getting a new stable MDB2 release out with PHP 5.3+ support would be
nice. Can help with testing against real-world apps.

Cheers,
Mike

I thought the same thing in response to Daniel's question. I was hoping
to do this and was looking for community financial support
(http://pledgie.com/campaigns/17037) but the full support has yet to
materialize.

That aside, the package is pretty much ready to go. What needs to
happen is testing against more DBMS'. Then the awkward/tedious process of
moving bugs assigned to the main MDB2 package to the various
sub-packages and generating the change logs.

Thanks,

I'd throw more dollars your way if I still had them coming in the door :)
I might tackle one of the subpackages or related packages to ease into it -
MBD2_Schema for example seems isolated enough; just needs a bit of stuff
around on the server side to clean up the tests.

The issue with go-pear.php is still open; the manual still contains some
references to it. We don't have a replacement for the browser based
pear installer AFAIK and we should either tell that or find a
replacement.

AFAIK i fixed the issues with go-pear,
they are already commited in the upstream of go-pear

https://github.com/pear/pearweb/blob/master/public_html/go-pear

I'll tried it on a shared webhosting server without any serious issues.
The issue with many PEAR packages is the usage of many deprecated features.
I think go-pear is a good piece of software for pear (not only because
of php's "nature" on shared webhosting).
