I was wondering if anyone was working on a way to put Pig
Latin<http://pig.apache.org/docs/r0.11.1/cont.html#Usage+Examples>into
IPython Notebook the way it's been done with
R <http://ipython.org/ipython-doc/dev/config/extensions/rmagic.html>

Indeed, but now starting ipython without qtconsole I get:

Hi Again,

So, now on ipython 0.13.1 and with Ctrl-r works in the normal ipython
console, in qtconsole it does nothing.

That's a shame, anyone know when it'll be fixed?

cheers,

Chris

Someday - readline is not involved in the qtconsole at all, so it would have to be reimplemented in qt.

Don't be, I made the same mistake a few time too.

[text][ref]

is valid markdown as long as you have

ref: url

at the end of the cell (IIRC)

I'm almost sure there is some setting that allows setting Qt console window
initial size, but I can't find it referenced in ipython configuration files.

Is there any?

I would say no.

IPython/frontend/qt/console/console_widget.py:457
Do I hear a PR ?

Strange. I get 1200x400 screen every time I start qt console, and I thought
I must have set it wrong somewhere then leave it for later, until today I
started searching in configuration files and couldn't find such setting.

IPython/frontend/qt/console/console_widget.py:457

Thanks!
I'll hardcode it, as I know nothing about Qt to make it scale with
confidence on different platforms, thus PR withdraw from me (if it was
intended to me in the first place ;))

Weird you got something that big. That might be qt specific ...

Ah, sad, you can still do it later if you wish :-)

Still tell us if it changes the size of the console correctly.
