Starts fine here under Ubuntu ruinning inside a virtual machine. Did you 
try redownloading the file from sourceforge?

By the way, I noticed that Wikidpad homepage is not up to date with the new 
versions, still showing wikidPad 2.0rc10_1 and wikidPad 2.1beta10_1 as 
the latest downloads.
