Default Route disappear

Hi

I have a default route to 192.168.1.1 as soon as I start shorewall the
default route dissapear.  What do I need to do to have it not disappear.

My network setup

/etc/network/interfaces:

iface eth0 inet static
        address 192.168.1.17
        netmask 255.255.255.0
        network 192.168.1.0
        broadcast 192.168.1.255
        gateway 192.168.1.1

What is the setting of USE_DEFAULT_RT in your configuration? What 
version of Shorewall are you running?

Then the default route is in the 'balance' table, not the 'main' table.
