Re: Im out

Hi JdGordon,
I feel sad that you came to such a decision. Nobody can deny your great job and I hope you'll continue to work on Rockbox. I did not always agreed with you on everything but I feel a bit responsible by inaction rather my action and I guess I'm not the only one. Although I hate to say that, I hope everyone will realize that mutual respect is the key to a healthy community
Thanks for all your hard work,

Amaury Pouly

This has been brewing for a while and shouldn't come as a surprise.
I've been an active contributor for over 5 years and involved in the
project for coming up to 6 years, and it is no longer fun for me to
contribute, so I wont.

LinusN, Bagder, Zagor, thanks for the project, I'm 100% sure it is
because of my involvement here that I got my first and current jobs.
To the vast majority of other devs, Its been mostly fun, some I'd even
consider as friends (and the guys I've met outside of IRC I'd gladly
meet up with again).

To the users, well, thanks :)

I'm saying this publicly because I don't want anyone to think I'd
simply lost interest in the project or found another itch elsewhere. I
very much have stuff I want to keep working on and am leaving because
of (mostly) 2 individuals. I'll continue working on rockbox on my git
repo, and of course you're free to cherry-pick the changes you want,
but I wont be pushing changes back anymore (not regularly anyway).

Unlike other people who stopped actively contributing I also wont be
getting involved in discussions because I simply don't care anymore.

Bagder (err, Zagor then), please disable my svn account, I won't be
needing it anymore (and don't want anyone to accuse me of drive-by
commits).

Jonathan

P.S This isnt about kugels mailing list thread, though it sure made my
descision easier
