taskcoach 0.7.1 (newest) crashes (win xp)

I use win xp sp2 and tried to install today taskcoach (newest version).

After installation, when starting the programme, it crashes just after
start, and before you can see its window. It does'n work at all.

how could I get help?

now I re-installed the task coach 0.7.0 (previous version) and it
seems to work well.

Re: taskcoach 0.7.1 (newest) crashes (win xp)

I ran into odd behavior on the upgrade.

When I start TaskCoach (on XP), it started fine, but it only showed up
in the tasktray. Normally TaskCoach starts out with the main window visible.

I had this problem on a previous upgrade as well but I forgot about it.
It took me 5 minutes to figure out that TaskCoach actually started fine
and all I had to do was click on the icon in the Task Tray.

Did this happen to be the problem, or was it a full blown crash.

No, that was not the case. I am used to that problem that you describe :)

It was a total crash, with a message of crash and an indication to the
logfile.
I'll send the logfile immediately. I forgot about it.

Do you have a taskcoach.exe.log in TaskCoach's installation directory?

yes, I have it, but forgot to send it! Sorry. But don't know where to
attach it, here in the yahoogroup posting window... I'll try something
different to send it to you all.

It seems that one of your search strings is an invalid regular
expression, probably something beginning with '*' or '+'. You can send
me your TaskCoach.ini file so I fix it, and I'll fix the bug in
TaskCoach.
